My final thoughts
I have noticed this whole blog was very focused on opinion. I kind of liked that aspect of it because it was easier to communicate my opinions of what went on in class. The internet is a strange invention and after learning how it worked I do not think differently now. It is a device through which people discover new ways to experience life they would not otherwise even think of. This class although mostly a refresher showed me a few things that may help later in life as the internet grows and old ways of doing things die out. I plan to become a computer programmer and would like to give my appreciation to this small step to reaching my goal (even if it is only 3 credits worth) :)
What online entertainment will look like 10 years from now
I do not expect much change to the online sources of entertainment in the next decade. While the source may change, such as facebook ceasing to be popular, the idea behind it will not. Online forms of entertainment have not really changed in the last decade only been updated and improved with newer technology. I believe this trend will continue because as long as it is refreshed with new ideas, all forms of online entertainment have no reason to stop being as entertaining as they are right now.
What makes a community
A community is essentially a gathering of groups or individuals that share a common reason for communicating with each other. This use to be constrained to who a person lived around and the location was the common reason to communicate. This later evolved into hobbyists who share a similar past time finding ways to come together and share their interest. This form of community is not a constant such as the living near each other type of community, but happens whenever the participants can form the community. It still follows the basic principle of community. The internet later brought this form of community together and become more accessible. It is still formed whenever the members of the community can get together, but it made the act of getting together much more available and convenient.

uncomfortability buying online
I would say most products are easily verified to be what you are trying to get especially when the seller is a company based manufacturer. I would not be comfortable however with buying most electronics online. The first rule when buying expensive machinery that has to work to be functional is to test it out. I can not feel comfortable until I test it, unfortunately that cannot be done online. Even then certain sites can be trusted with electronics. For instance anything being sold essentially from a store but instead being shipped to your house would have to be as safe as going to pick up the box yourself. Some electronics are packaged so they can not be tested so as long as the store or site has a return policy it is fine by me.

Presentation
I have not really thought it out all that much because I have not been able to discuss with my group members on to finalizing a topic. My original group may have too many people so it could split up and I do not know where I might end up. Some of the subjects we talked about doing were something about Google and its influence and how different aspects of the internet could be considered controlling parts of peoples lives.

Electronic Shopping Carts
Internet shopping cites try to work like a physical store in most ways so I would expect an electronic shopping cart to function like a regular shopping cart. I am sure there may be a number of ways they are similar, but when I think shopping cart all it does is carry stuff while you shop. There really is not a whole lot of other ways they need to be compared because the basic function is the same. Sure some cites shape them to look like a real shopping cart, but even that can vary depending on where you go, so as long as it is container shaped and called a cart I personally would not pay any attention to the difference. I would like to hear other ideas on how they both function the same because I only know of one function to a shopping cart.
Vanity Search
Okay, so during my vanity search I first started by trying to make myself appear first on Google. I could only do it if I narrowed the search down to Myspace or Facebook and I do not really count those because I pretty much told the computer to list those when I created the account, considering I want people to find me. After that I went to the specific search engines and found myself, but it did not list that much information so I was not that impressed. It listed my age, the cities I have lived in, and a couple close relatives, but even that left out a lot of the obvious ones.

My first Html
Okay so even though it takes awhile if your trying to fill the page it is loads of fun to type out a web page. I thought I might have trouble loading it on my computer, but it all seemed to work out because its sitting as an icon on my desktop.
It took me awhile before I finally got around to doing it, but that's because much more boring work was in the way. I typed this out after having writers block on an essay and decided to spend some time writing this and messing with my web page.
I am still having troubles getting anything to move, but I think that may just be the outdated command word given on the sheet. I will most likely look up another command that might work whenever I can find the time. On a related note, although I am almost sure it requires software of some sort I am hoping to learn how to add more complex things and create a dynamic web page of sorts.

Real Mail vs. Email
Both mail and E-mail were designed with the same basic function. They are used to distribute information or data from one person to another. Although E-mail came later then real mail, it adopted the same terminology to represent the functions that are similar to the real mail ones. However, even with the same intent of function they differ in process.
Email can be sent to hundreds of people all at once from the comfort of your home and the recipient gets it immediately. With real mail it takes a separate letter per recipient and the sorting and sending can take days. Real mail is becoming more and more obsolete in today's culture, but it is still used because email has no liability if lost, while real mail is almost guaranteed to reach its destination or the postal service takes full responsibility.
